This policy explains how payments made to The Haven Between Animal Rescue are handled.

Adoption Application Fees

Adoption application fees are nonrefundable.

The application fee supports the administrative work involved in receiving, reviewing, and processing adoption applications.

Payment does not:

• Guarantee application approval
• Reserve an animal
• Guarantee adoption
• Guarantee placement with a specific animal

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are due after an applicant has been approved and an adoption has been authorized.

Adoption fees help offset rescue costs such as:

• Spay/neuter
• Vaccinations
• Microchipping
• Deworming
• Veterinary care
• Medication
• Food
• Litter
• Foster supplies
• Other animal-care expenses

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing, adoption fees are nonrefundable.

Returning an adopted animal to The Haven Between does not automatically entitle the adopter to a refund of the adoption fee.

Donations

Donations are generally nonrefundable.

If you believe a donation was made accidentally, duplicated, or in an incorrect amount, contact us promptly and we will review the circumstances.

Veterinary Services Included in Adoption

When The Haven Between agrees to provide or pay for specific post-adoption veterinary services, those services must be arranged or approved by The Haven Between.

The rescue is generally not responsible for reimbursing veterinary care independently arranged by an adopter without prior authorization.

Payment Processing

Payments may be processed through Stripe Payments and third-party payment providers.

Any processor fees, disputes, or chargebacks may also be governed by the payment provider’s terms.
