About The Haven Between

The Haven Between Animal Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue serving animals in need through rescue, foster care, veterinary care, rehabilitation, adoption, and related animal-welfare activities.

Our website is intended to provide information about our rescue, available animals, adoption and foster opportunities, donations, volunteer involvement, and related services.

Adoption Applications

Submitting an adoption application does not guarantee approval or adoption of any particular animal.

The Haven Between evaluates applicants based on the needs and best interests of each individual animal. We reserve the right to:

• Approve or decline an application
• Request additional information
• Contact references, veterinarians, landlords, or property managers when authorized
• Conduct a home visit
• Select the applicant we believe is the best match for a particular animal

Animals are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Fees

A nonrefundable application fee may be required before an adoption application is processed.

Payment of an application fee:

• Does not guarantee approval
• Does not reserve an animal
• Does not guarantee adoption
• Helps offset administrative and processing costs

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are collected only after an applicant has been approved and an adoption has been authorized by The Haven Between.

Adoption fees help offset the cost of rescue and care, which may include veterinary services, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, deworming, food, supplies, medication, foster care, and other expenses.

An adoption fee does not represent the monetary value of an animal or necessarily equal the total amount spent caring for that animal.

Animal Availability

Animal listings may change at any time.

An animal shown as available may have a pending application, medical hold, foster-to-adopt arrangement, or other circumstances affecting availability.

We make reasonable efforts to keep listings current but do not guarantee that an animal displayed on the website remains available.

Animal Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information about each animal’s known history, health, temperament, and behavior.

Because many rescued animals come to us with limited or unknown histories, we cannot guarantee:

• Breed
• Age
• Future health
• Adult size
• Temperament
• Compatibility with other animals or people
• Future behavior

Known information will be shared with approved adopters to the best of our ability.

Donations

Donations are voluntary contributions supporting the work of The Haven Between Animal Rescue.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, donations are nonrefundable.

The Haven Between is currently pursuing recognition of federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3). Until applicable status is established, we do not represent donations as tax-deductible.

All original website content, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, branding, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to The Haven Between Animal Rescue unless otherwise indicated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, sold, or used commercially without permission.

Sharing our publicly posted adoptable-animal listings for the purpose of helping those animals find homes is welcomed.
